  • Ann G. Fox

    President and
    Chief Executive Officer

    Her focus, knowledge, impeccable credentials and proven experience makes Ann Fox the ideal leader to serve as Nine Energy Service’s President and CEO.  Ann graduated from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service with a Bachelors of Science in Diplomacy and Security in World Affairs. Upon graduation, she joined the private sector as an investment banking analyst in New York.

    Answering a different call of duty, Ann then joined the Marines, where she served several tours of duty in Iraq on a team that reported directly to General David Petraeus. After Iraq, she completed her MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Next was a move to Houston, Texas, where Ann was evaluating and executing investment opportunities within the oilfield sector at SCF Partners. Now, Ann is well positioned to take advantage of global opportunities for Nine.

  • Doug Aron

    Executive Vice President and CFO

    To become a strong player in the energy section, a company must constantly search for opportunities, have a sure sense of what is – and isn’t—of value, and be adept at balancing all the variables of what can be a rapidly changing market. Doug Aron makes a strong contribution to the management team of Nine Energy Service in all these ways and more. Doug’s background includes 16 years in the downstream sector of the energy value chain with HollyFrontier Corporation and Frontier Oil Corporation, where he served as EVP and CFO for the last 8 years. Prior to joining Frontier Oil in 2001, he served as a banking officer for Southwest Bank of Texas (now Amegy Bank). Doug holds a bachelor of journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from Rice University. 

  • David Crombie

    President, Completion Solutions and EVP

    With more than two decades of experience in challenging production environments, David Crombie knows what it takes to achieve flawless execution under pressure. He comes to Nine from Crest Pumping Technologies, LLC, which he founded and guided to success as President. Before starting Crest, David was Vice President of Operations and Sales for Pumpco Energy Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Complete Production Services (now part of Superior Energy Services). At Pumpco, he oversaw stimulation and cementing services in prolific, unconventional plays throughout the continental United States. And prior to Pumpco, David was employed by Halliburton Energy Services. Since 1994, he has worked in both cementing and stimulation operations in the areas of domestic and international operations, including the Permian Basin, the Fort Worth Basin, Oklahoma, the Gulf of Mexico and Saudi Arabia.

  • Bruce Morgan

    President, Production Solutions

    Bruce Morgan is a major reason why Nine Energy Service is emerging as a leader in innovative production techniques. Now serving as President of Production Solutions, Bruce is a true entrepreneur, whose career spans more than two decades in the oilfield industry.

    After graduating from Mississippi State University with a BS in Engineering, Bruce went to work for Schlumberger, where he started in North Texas, running an openhole/casehole truck. His success led to continual advancement at Schlumberger, including positions handling all onshore and offshore wireline for Union Pacific Resources; serving as location manager in Natchez, Mississippi; managing all wireline operations for Unocal in Lafayette, Louisiana, before transferring to Houston; and serving as operations manager for West Texas, where he oversaw all wireline operations in the Permian Basin.

    Bruce left Schlumberger and worked for a startup wireline company in West Texas. He then became regional manager for STS Rental and Supply, overseeing operations in West Texas and later, Williston, North Dakota.

    Bruce started his own company, Peak Pressure Control in 2010, which became a vital part of Nine Energy Service.

  • Ted Moore

    Senior Vice President and General Counsel

    Ted Moore brings the right blend of corporate expertise and industry knowledge to Nine. Ted spent the last 6 years with C&J Energy Services as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer. Joining in 2011, Ted helped prepare and execute C&J’s IPO, as well as manage all public company reporting and compliance after C&J successfully went public. Prior to joining C&J, he practiced corporate law at Vinson & Elkins LLP from 2002 through January 2011, representing public and private companies in capital markets offerings and mergers and acquisitions, primarily in the oil and gas industry.

    As SVP and General Counsel, Ted will be responsible for all legal guidance and compliance for Nine and working with the leadership team to set the strategy for the company.

    Ted holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy, magna cum laude, from Tulane University and a J.D. from Tulane Law School.

  • Nick Pottmeyer

    Vice President, Completion and Production Technologies
    North America

    To claim the position of the energy services company of tomorrow, it takes vision, hands-on experience, and an ever-expanding command of innovation and emerging technologies. These are the qualities that make Nick Pottmeyer an ideal choice for Nine’s Vice President of Completions Technologies in North America.  Deeply respected by the operators, Nick has been able to identify completion trends before our competition and introduce these to our customers. He will continue to be responsible for sourcing and commercializing new technologies throughout all of Nine’s service lines.

    Before joining Nine Energy Service, Nick spent the last decade supervising, bidding, locating vendors, and generally managing all aspects of completion for hundreds of wells for Chesapeake Energy. During his career, he has worked as a roustabout, field engineer, drilling & completion foreman, production engineer, drilling engineer and completion superintendent for major energy companies in projects that range from deepwater platforms to traditional wells to horizontal wells in a host of challenging fields and formations.

    Nick is a graduate of Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, where he holds a B.S. Degree in Petroleum Engineering.                              

  • Alex Bougaïeff

    Vice President, Finance & Treasury

    To stay at the top of its game, every company needs someone to implement and execute a strong financial growth strategy. At Nine Energy Service, we are fortunate to have Alex Bougaïeff in that key position. Working in concert with members of the executive team, Alex is responsible for growing and refining Nine’s service offerings profile. Alex oversees all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, from origination and valuation, through post-close integration. In addition, Alex reports to the CEO on various day-to-day financial operations of Nine.

    Prior to serving in these capacities, Alex was with the Energy Investment Banking group at Raymond James and Associates in Houston. He advised clients in the energy industry on mergers and acquisitions, public and private capital raises, and other strategic transactions throughout energy service and equipment, midstream and exploration and production.

    Prior to his tenure in energy investment banking, Alex spent a decade playing professional basketball in Europe. Alex graduated from Rice University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Economics.

  • Tim Heffernan

    Vice President, Health, Safety and Environment

    As we build a company responsive enough to meet tomorrow’s challenges, we know the importance of finding the best people to implement best practices. With extensive international and domestic experience in the management of HSE and oil and gas operations, Tim Heffernan is a superlative choice to oversee Nine Energy Service’s Health, Safety and Environment issues.

    Tim began his career with Conoco, where he spent 18 years in Dubai, UAE working in HSE and oil/gas operations. Upon returning to the USA, Tim continued honing his skills with Baker Energy and MODEC International INC. While serving as MODEC’s Atlantic Operations HSE Manager, Tim spearheaded the development of an OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 HSE management system for their fleet of floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels operating in Mexico, Brazil and West Africa. This HSE management system was the first HSE management system certified to the ABS Guide for Marine Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment.

    With leading edge accomplishments and credentials in world-class HSE management systems, Tim is well positioned to develop an integrated HSE processes for Nine Energy Service.

  • Heather Schmidt

    Director, Investor Relations and Marketing

    Heather successfully lead the creation, execution, and launch of the brand to both the internal and external audiences. As the Director of Investor Relations and Marketing she is responsible for the strategy development and communication of the operational health of the company to investors and the marketplace, plus risk management and litigation strategies. Additionally, Heather is responsible for the company’s Marketing and Public Relations.

    Heather brings a strong and diverse background that includes fundraising and donor relations for a national political campaign and marketing for an NBA sports team. Before joining Nine, she was with SCF Partners. Heather received her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York, where she also played soccer and is currently pursuing her MBA at Rice University with graduation expected in May 2018.
