Interventionless MagnumDisk™
As downhole conditions become more extreme, Nine’s Interventionless MagnumDisk™ has emerged as a go-to solution for superior wellbore isolation.
Using two dome-shaped disks, the Interventionless MagnumDisk reliably isolates wellbore reservoir pressure, eliminating the need for intervention with slickline or coiled tubing. Its proprietary construction provides considerable strength and durability in a variety of downhole conditions. To isolate the tubing and place the hydraulic set packers, the tool is run as an isolation barrier on the bottom of the tubing and/or below the packer BHA. Once tests are performed, a predetermined activation pressure is applied at the surface to remove the MagnumDisks. After removal, wellbore fluids can be produced up the production tubing.
*Nine Energy Service recommends the use of the Interventionless MagnumDisk for snubbing operations, as long as the pressure control company and/or operator have procedures in place to secure/control the well in the unlikely event of tool failure.
