Dual MagnumDisk™
As downhole conditions become more extreme, Nine’s Dual MagnumDisk™ has emerged as a go-to solution for superior wellbore isolation.
Constructed of proprietary material, the Dual MagnumDisk™ barrier valve offers incredible strength and durability in a variety of downhole conditions, isolating wellbore reservoir pressure via two internal barrier devices. Perfect for snubbing applications, it handles pressure equally from either side, translating to twice the performance. The sub is run on the bottom of the tubing and/or below a packer BHA to isolate the tubing and act as a barrier to place hydraulic set packers. After all of the tests are performed, the disks are knocked out using a MagnumDisk Drop Bar™, coiled tubing, slickline or sand line. Once disks are removed, wellbore fluids can be produced up the production tubing.
*Nine Energy Service recommends the use of the Dual MagnumDisk for snubbing operations, as long as the pressure control company and/or operator have procedures in place to secure/control the well in the unlikely event of tool failure.
